Dance Dance You Rascal You

harlem hamfats swing crop 400

A new clubnight from Des Was a Bowie Fan, a sweet blaze of 1920s and ’30s New Orleans Jazz, Hot Swing, 1940 and ’50s Jive and Rock’n’Roll, Brass-Fueled Gospel, Gypsy, ’60s Girl Groups & Soul.

The night derives its name from the Harlem Hamfats’ glorious ‘I’ll be Glad When You’re Dead You Rascal You’, and the feeling shall be that of a swing culture de-formalised, with a prohibition-era romance and freedom to get feral to the beat and sway.

For invites to this night, and to Des Was a Bowie Fan, join the group page here, or befriend Dai Discotheque.
